Peter Mitchell |
Regional Director |
After completing a year of intensive training under co-founders Arthur Jackson & Neil Phillips in Washington DC, Peter launched One on One Basketball Chicago in the fall of 1998. Peter's lifelong experience playing basketball and other sports gave him the inspiration to join the One on One team. "There are two things I remember about growing up playing basketball, baseball, football & soccer. One was that it was fun! The other is that it was even more fun to realize self-improvement. I wish I had programs available to me like the ones that One on One offers, there's no telling how much better I could've been. With what I do now, I still expect to improve as a player, a teacher, and a person every day." As Regional Director of One on One Basketball Chicago, Peter's goal is to make One on One Chicagoland's most reputable basketball instruction organization. With 30 years of experience as a player, coach, instructor, and mentor in the basketball community, he dedicates himself to ensuring the highest quality programs are offered to Chicago's young people through its schools, parks and communities.

Dave Regnier |
Regional Director |
As a self-described "sports junkie", Dave has been involved in many sports as a player and coach for over 30 years. At Bishop McNamara High School, he was a member of the 1988 Sweet Sixteen Basketball Team and a Co-Captain in 1989. Dave's playing career also flourished on the golf course in high school. As Captain his Junior and Senior years, Dave had consecutive top 10 individual finishes (7th and 5th, respectively), capped off with the team's 2nd Place finish his Senior year. Dave continued his playing days while attending the University of Notre Dame on a golf scholarship. Dave's love of the hard court was not to be denied as he continued to play on and coach intramural teams in college. Upon graduation and moving to Chicago, Dave coached youth basketball teams for five years and played in numerous leagues and local tournaments. When the opportunity to join the One on One team materialized, he realized how much he truly missed working with and mentoring the youth of today. Dave has not looked back one second since the Fall of 1999 and is looking forward to finishing his first decade with One on One Basketball next year. "I love the fact that I have the opportunity to play a game, share my experience, and show young people what those experiences can do for you as grow older. I still pinch myself at times wondering how I got so lucky to find One on One Basketball. I look forward to offering other people that same opportunity." |
